Butterflies don’t know the color of their wings, but human eyes know how beautiful they are. Likewise, you don’t know how good you are, but others can see that you are special.

Many times we are a lot harder on ourselves than we need to me. Admittedly, we know ourselves better than others, so we know our weaknesses. However, many times we focus so much on those shortcomings and weaknesses that we forget or don’t see our strengths.

Sometimes we need to trust what others are telling us about ourselves. We have blind spots that we cannot see without the help of others. Trust in the judgement of others. They not only see what you do, but they more clearly see the consequences of your actions as times, also. Many times we cannot see how much we actually do affect the lives of those around us, so we must trust in them to let us know.

So don’t shortchange yourself. Trust others when they compliment you. Accept compliments, even though it is difficult sometimes. They may just be seeing something in yourself that you refuse to see yourself.
