I believe this completely. It is much easier to always do what you think is right, rather than to occasionally give in to temptation. Giving in every once in a while is a slippery slope. You will find yourself doing it more and more often until it really doesn’t matter anymore to you. Be careful of that. It is so much easier to make up your mind beforehand and stick to your guns when the going gets tough.
If you have found yourself slipping, it’s never too late to stop it. Find a friend, a family member, a bishop, or someone you really trust. Lean on them if you need to. They are there to help you. Don’t be afraid to let them. Once you’re back on the path, stay there. Life will be easier.
