“Mishaps are like knives that either serve us or cut us as we grasp them by the blade or the handle.” – James Russell Lowell

We all make mistakes, whether great or small. Some people let these mistakes drag them down, while others don’t. What is the difference? Well, if you learn from your mistakes, then they have helped you. If you refuse to learn from your mistakes, then it is much like trying to use a knife while holding the blade instead of the handle.

Have the humility to first admit that you have made mistakes and second to learn from them. Don’t be so proud that you don’t realize your mistakes or take the time to learn from them. You’ll just end up cutting yourself.
